The Heart of Ceylon

AURIC CEYLON was created to elevate Sri Lanka’s batik heritage into modern, sustainable luxury.

Where It Began

AURIC CEYLON was born from a deep reverence for Sri Lanka’s enduring craft traditions and a vision to share them with the world.

From the heart of the island, we create garments that carry the spirit of Ceylon—its textures, its colours, its stories.

Each piece is a dialogue between past and present—between the hands of a master artisan and the individual who wears it, wherever they are in the world.

The Heritage

Batik is more than a technique—it is a discipline of patience, precision, and artistry.

Passed down through generations in Sri Lanka, this craft has long remained within traditional boundaries. AURIC CEYLON exists to redefine that narrative.

By merging time-honoured techniques with contemporary silhouettes, we bring batik into a new context—one that belongs on the global stage.

Our Artisans

We collaborate with master batik artisans across Sri Lanka, many of whom have inherited their craft through generations.

Preserving this art form means more than production—it requires respect, fair compensation, and continuity.

We work closely with artisan communities to ensure ethical practices, safe conditions, and long-term sustainability.

True luxury is ethical.

When you wear AURIC CEYLON, you wear their skill, their heritage, and their story.

Conscious by Design

Sustainability is not an addition—it is integral to how we create.

We use natural fibres, plant-based and azo-free dyes, and minimise waste through thoughtful design. Our packaging is entirely plastic-free.

For us, responsibility and luxury are inseparable.

The Process

Every AURIC CEYLON garment begins as pure white fabric.

Each design is drawn by hand using hot wax—a process that demands precision and years of mastery. The fabric is then dyed, the wax removed, and the piece dried under the tropical sun.

For layered designs, this process is repeated multiple times. The signature crackle effect—formed as dye seeps into fine fractures in the wax—ensures no two pieces are ever identical.

Each garment is a one-of-a-kind work of art.

"We do not simply create garments.
We preserve a legacy—expressed through wax, dye, and the spirit of Ceylon."
