Sustainability, by Design

At AURIC CEYLON, sustainability is not an initiative—it is our foundation.
Every garment is created with intention, guided by respect for craft, community, and the natural world.

We believe true luxury is not defined by excess, but by responsibility.

A Philosophy of Less

We operate beyond the cycles of fast fashion. No seasons. No overproduction.

Each piece is created in limited quantities, ensuring that every garment has purpose and longevity.

The nature of batik—drawn by hand, dyed in stages, and finished individually—naturally resists mass production. This slower rhythm is not a limitation; it is our advantage.

Materials with Integrity

We work exclusively with natural, biodegradable fibres—cotton, linen, and silk—selected for their quality, comfort, and environmental responsibility.

Our dyeing process uses azo-free, low-impact dyes, while we continue to expand our use of plant-based dyes derived from Sri Lankan flora—roots, bark, and leaves.

Each piece is designed to age gracefully, and ultimately return to the earth without harm.

The Art of Natural Dyeing

Colour, for us, begins in nature.

Through plant-based dyeing, each garment carries subtle variations—marks of authenticity that cannot be replicated by industrial processes.

No two pieces are identical. Each one reflects the organic beauty of its origin.

Zero Waste, by Intention

The batik process produces offcuts—none of which are discarded.

Every remaining fragment is reimagined into smaller accessories or integrated into our reusable fabric packaging.

Waste, in our process, does not exist—only transformation.

Ethical Craftsmanship

We collaborate with master artisans across Sri Lanka, many of whom have inherited their craft through generations.

Our commitment goes beyond production. We ensure fair wages, safe working conditions, and long-term partnerships that preserve both skill and dignity.

Because craftsmanship cannot survive without respect.

Packaging with Purpose

Every AURIC CEYLON order is delivered in 100% plastic-free packaging, designed to be reused or returned to nature.

From fabric wraps to minimal paper components, every detail is considered.

Impact

Sustainability is not a trend we follow—it is a responsibility we uphold.

Through every garment, we honour the balance between tradition, innovation, and the world we share.
